NATURE

Look and think before opening the shutter. The heart and mind are the true lens of the camera.

– Yousuf Karsh –

The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.

– Andy Warhol –

A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it.

– Edward Steichen –

There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.

– Ansel Adams –

A good snapshot stops a moment from running away.

– Eudora Welty –

When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.

About me

As mentioned above, Ansel Adams said: "There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs." I'm playing with the rules, sometimes I use them, sometimes not. Break the rules! gives tension to many of my pictures.

Taking photos is a matter of attention, of intuition, of empathy, of an open mind. The camera is my small tool to keep a moment, to show a detail, to surprise with an unseen perspective, to preserve an emotion. The camera is a tool, not more.

If you use only your camera to take a photo, you will not touch a beholder.
